Currently, communication professionals do not have their own code of ethics and this has been a source of concern for some. However research on practicing communication professionals reveals that they strictly follow the APA code of Ethics and hold them selves to higher standards than professionals practicing with a degree in psychology. Perhaps this is because Communication is a relatively young social science and those practicing in this field have taken it upon themselves to build its reputation.
